The Teams & Users feature allows you to collaborate with your staff, clients, contractors, or partners inside your SiteSkite workspace. You can invite people, assign roles, manage permissions, and control access with full flexibility — perfect for agencies, studios, and multi-member teams.

This feature ensures every user has the right level of access without exposing sensitive or billing information unless you choose to.

User Roles in SiteSkite

Here are the common access levels supported:

1. Owner (You)

Full control over everything in your workspace:

  • Billing & subscriptions

  • Adding/removing sites

  • Managing all users

  • Backup, restore, templates, and settings

  • Full reports

  • API access

Only one owner per workspace.

2. Admin

Admins can manage the workspace and sites but cannot view billing unless explicitly allowed.

Can do:

  • Manage sites

  • Configure backups

  • View analytics/reports

  • Invite users (if permitted)

  • Access all projects

Cannot do:

  • Modify billing

  • Delete the workspace

3. Team Member

Ideal for your internal staff.

Can do:

  • Work on sites assigned to them

  • Generate reports

  • Manage templates

  • Run backups

  • Monitoring & health checks

Cannot do:

  • Access billing

  • Access unassigned sites

  • Change workspace-level settings

4. Client User

Designed for agency clients.

Can do:

  • View their specific website(s)

  • Access client reports

  • Receive incident alerts & uptime reports

  • See backups and restore points (if allowed)

Cannot do:

  • Access other clients' sites

  • View billing

  • Modify global settings

  • Manage templates or automation

Choose What They Can Access

SiteSkite allows two types of access assignment:

A. Workspace-Wide Access

(For admins & internal staff)
You can give them access to:

  • All sites

  • All reports

  • Backup settings

  • API & automations

  • Marketplace & templates

B. Per-Site Access

(For clients or restricted members)

You can assign:

  • Specific sites only

  • View-only permissions

  • Report-only access

  • Backup/restore permissions

  • Marketplace restrictions

  • Monitoring access

Permission Breakdown

You can enable/disable these abilities per user:

  • View site details

  • Manage backups

  • Restore sites

  • Install marketplace templates

  • Manage monitoring settings

  • Generate & view reports

  • Manage plugins/themes

  • Access file manager (if enabled)

  • Access billing information (strictly OFF by default)

This level of control ensures maximum safety.

How Users Accept the Invitation

  1. User receives an email invitation

  2. They click Accept Invite

  3. They create a password (if new)

  4. They join your SiteSkite workspace with the assigned permissions

Modify or Remove Users

To update access:

  1. Go to Teams & Users

  2. Click a user

  3. Change permissions, roles, or sites

  4. Click Save

To remove a user:

  • Click Remove User → confirm
    They lose access instantly.
